“Philippines, because of the lockdown, we are not experiencing so-called large-scale community outbreak… What’s really important is to try to stay in this stage as much as possible, and if possible, to suppress,” sabi ni WHO Western Pacific Regional Director Dr. Takeshi Kasai.
“Even it is lockdown, it’s important for everyone to stay home, protect yourselves, and your family,… Second thing is even under the lockdown, infections might continue, so it’s very important to organize public health intervention such as tracing and identifying the contact,” ani Kasai.
“It is important to be vigilant and make cautious, thorough decision… When you extend the lockdown, it’s not continuing the same level of interventions, there are some options to peel one by one,” dagdag pa ni Kasai.
“Provided, that all exemptions granted by the Office of the President or the IATF shall continue to be in effect for the duration of the extended ECQ… Provided further that such extension of the ECQ shall be without prejudice to the discretion of the President to relax the implementation of the ECQ in some local jurisdictions, or the granting of exemptions in favor of certain sectors, as public health considerations and food security may warrant,” sabi ni Cabinet Secretary Karlo Nograles.
